What is the difference between SDSC Cloud Storage S3 and USS S3 Access?

Answer:

SDSC Cloud Storage is object storage cluster native to the SDSC Cloud environment, completely separate from the USS cluster. Users may interact with SDSC Cloud Storage in many ways - see Using Cloud Storage for more details.

Universal Scale Storage (aka USS, aka SDSC Qumulo) S3 is a completely separate storage cluster that is primarily a POSIX system and has an S3 interaction layer built on top of it for internet access. See USS Storage for more details.
