Theme/Purpose

Since SDSC provides various kinds of cloud-based services to all kinds of customers to help them store their data and host their projects, there is a need for an accessible and straightforward platform for people to learn about services and keep track of their usage. This platform can not only provide clear usage summaries and visualizations to old customers, but also guide new users to find the best services that fit their needs, so that customers, no matter old or new, will never feel lost in the ocean of SDSC Services.

Product

Customers who have ongoing service can visualize not only the real-time usage amount but also the usage trend over any period of time. By doing this, customers will have better knowledge of how their services are consumed so that they are able to plan ahead and make changes accordingly. In addition, any ended services will also be stored and shown as service history as well as some summary charts that illustrate the number of history purchases.

For new customers, services are represented by “service cards” that include the name and introduction to the services. The users are able to view all services provided by SDSC and visualizations that illustrate the relationship between the services. For each service, users can not only navigate to the service’s detailed description page but also save the service to a list to view later. Considering the issue that the number of services is too large to find the best-fit one, we also recommend users with services that they may need so that they will not waste time viewing services that are not related to their projects.

Regarding customers’ questions and concerns, we also provided an FAQ page and a contact form to resolve customers’ issues and enable direct access to SDSC officials.
