SU22 Team Avatar
Theme/Purpose
Avatar: The Last Airbender is an animation of several different characters with different abilities fighting against antagonists to save the world. We consider our team members as characters in the animation as we are a group of people with different knowledge, backgrounds, and abilities. When we combine all the different aspects, we create a great team that can create beneficial apps to the world. Our goal is to save people from risks and tragedies by educating them with apps that we create.
Product
Risk of investing in stocks, ETFs, and Cryptocurrency is well-known by people. According to popular estimates, as much as 90% of people lose money in stock markets. Two years ago when the stock market crashed due to the CoronaVirus, a college student lost $50 million from investing without background knowledge and got sued by his mom. Our team came up with a solution to prevent these tragedies: education without risks. That is why we invented an investing simulation game that reflects the real world economy. The game is risk free as users can play with fake money by investing it in stocks, ETFs, and Cryptocurrency. Users can learn how to invest by gaining tips and solutions for specific events as the game provides instructions on how to invest and event-based tips. The game also provides 3 different characters with different buying powers and backgrounds so that users can select characters that match with their conditions.
