This article explains how to set up an SDSC printer on a Windows 10 workstation.

Instructions

  1. Hit the "Window" + "r" keys to open the “Run” window (or type “run” into the search box).
  2. Enter the address \\sc-print.ad.ucsd.edu into the box and click on “OK”.
  3. You will be prompted to enter credentials for the print server. Enter your UCSD AD username (preluded by “ad\) and password, and check “Remember my credentials”. Click “OK” to continue.
  4. A window will open with the list of available printers. Find the printer you would like to setup, right click it and select “Connect”.
  5. Windows will automatically install the printer, including drivers and printer settings.
  6. Once it is finished, the printer should appear in your “Devices and Printers” list (found in the Control Panel).
