This article explains how to set up an SDSC printer on a Windows 10 workstation.
NOTE: If you are connected to the UCSD wireless network, you must connect to the VPN in order to print.
Instructions
- Hit the "Window" + "r" keys to open the “Run” window (or type “run” into the search box).
- Enter the address \\sc-print.ad.ucsd.edu into the box and click on “OK”.
- You will be prompted to enter credentials for the print server. Enter your UCSD AD username (preluded by “ad"ad\") and password, and check “Remember my credentials”. Click “OK” to continue.
- A window will open with the list of available printers. Find the printer you would like to setup, right click it and select “Connect”.
- Windows will automatically install the printer, including drivers and printer settings.
- Once it is finished, the printer should appear in your “Devices and Printers” list (found in the Control Panel).
