Theme/Purpose

Drawing from the inspiration of boba drinks and taro smoothies, team AhjinToastPotatoCamelCase (AhjinTpCc) aspired to create an application in which the theme would involve our beloved drinks and the color purple.

Product

What is your product? What problem does it solve (i.e. why does your product exist? Who is the target audience? Where can your product be accessed?

...

The app, Taro Cards, was conceived when we wanted to be able to get our friends' boba drinks without having to ask them every time for their order; this was especially prominent when it was always the same drink order.

Theme/Purpose

Legato is a web application that aims to connect people through their shared interest in music. Our team realized how natural it is to bond over shared music tastes and through experiences like concerts, especially after having to connect with classmates remotely for a while.

Our web app allows users to find other users and understand their music taste, connect to each other through other social media platforms, find nearby and recommended concerts, discover artists, and gain insight into their own music taste. Legato is a space where users can expand their community and appreciation for music.

Product

Our team found it easy to connect with each other and work alongside one another after sharing our music tastes, gaining a better understanding of each other’s personalities. We found that throughout college, friendships are hard to make; but with a shared interest in music, connections were able to form. Therefore, we decided to create Legato.

We named our website Legato because in music, Legato indicates that notes are connected. Our website is built on the foundation of connecting people, which is why we felt the name was appropriate.

Legato primarily targets college students and young adults. The application can be accessed through our website. Legato connections are formed amongst other users through the linking of social media accounts. College students and young adults are one of the most active people on social media; therefore, we found that to be the most effective way to create connections. By finding others who share favorite artists or share concert interests, users can easily form new connections.
